the perfect home for your equine friend
Horse Boarding on the Scenic West Side of Washoe Valley
Serving Washoe Valley, Carson City, Reno, Lake Tahoe, and Minden/Gardnerville.
Miss Me Not Farm is a private horse boarding facility operating on a portion of the McCleary Ranch, up against the eastern front of the Sierras and backing to the Toiyabe National Forest. We provide a consistent high quality of service against the backdrop of a working ranch.
Choose from irrigated grass pasture or stall board with almost any custom care option available upon request, including mare and foal care.
Miss Me Not Farm's location at the private McCleary Ranch makes us the perfect home for your equine friend. We are situated between Carson City and Reno, only 20 miles from Lake Tahoe and convenient to Highway 395/580. Because we are a private residential ranch there is limited traffic and no public access to the farm and ranch property.
All horses at Miss Me Not Farm enjoy:
- two large outdoor arenas
- round pen
- two covered outdoor grooming and wash stalls
- individual attention and affection
- two indoor grooming stalls
- tack rooms
- trails on the property as well as on neighboring public lands
Stall Board
Care of horses boarded in our stalls includes all day turnout, grass hay, grain, deworming, blanketing, booting, a locker in the barn's heated tack room, and trailer parking. Custom care options are available.
Premium Pasture Board
Herd size is limited to 2-4 horses. Horses in this small herd live in a minimum 2 acre grass pasture with a 3 sided shelter, horse fencing, grain once daily and grass hay when needed, and blanketing. Custom care options are available.
Standard Pasture Board
Miss Me Not Farm offers large pastures which give the horses seasonal access to premium grass hay fields when we are not growing or harvesting hay. Mares and geldings are kept separately in herds not exceeding 4-5 individuals. Horses boarded with this option live year-round in 10-25 acre grass pastures with horse fencing, 3 sided shelters, and grass hay when needed. Custom care options are available.
